#Africa Applications open for $100k DFS Lab fintech programme

//

Early-stage startup incubator DFS Lab is inviting African fintech startups to apply for its Asia-based programme, which will offer the best ideas up to US$100,000 in funding and six months of support.

DFS Lab aims to help high potential entrepreneurs refine, grow and launch fintech businesses in developing countries, and is focused on empowering communities in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

The programme offers mentorship and strategic advice to early-stage startups pioneering transformative business models that empower the poorest, profitably and at scale. Selected startups will converge in an as yet unnamed Asian country in April for the fintech bootcamp.

DFS Lab uses Design Sprint Methodology, a process of structured brainstorming for answering critical business questions. Startups will design, prototype and test new ideas, obtaining quick feedback.

The best ideas will receive grant funding of up to US$100,000 and six months of additional support from DFS Lab. The programme runs for five days and includes flights, meals and accommodation. Applications are open here.
