Singapore startups in healthcare took the lion’s share at over 50 per cent of funding.

We took a quick look at the e27 database to see what’s up with Singapore startups. Here are 8 that raised funds this first quarter of 2017:

 

1. CXA Group | US$25M

A benefits and wellness marketplace platform that uses evidence-based processes to improve employee health and control healthcare costs. Funded by B Capital Group, EDBI, and NSI Ventures.

2. HOOQ | US$25M

Streaming and download platform offering a wide selection of movies and tv shows from popular western ones to localised Asian entertainment. Funded by Singtel and Warner Brothers.

3. Homage | US$1.2M

An online marketplace for senior home care connecting users to a network of curated caregivers . It also has app that allows care professionals to manage their schedule, create an individualised care plan for each senior, and easily communicate with the family members. Funded by Golden Gate Ventures and Seedplus.

4. Vault Dragon | US$$1.16M

Digital storage and software solution for the healthcare industry. They provide a suite of software solutions that include electronic medical records management, paperless consultation, practice management, and analytics. Funded by Golden Equator Capital.

5. Legalese | US$418K

An open-source project to draft documents the way programmers develop software. First project is a SaaS app for entrepreneurs to be able to draft all legal paperwork needed for an angel or seed round like shareholders agreement, corporate resolutions, vesting, and rights notices. Funded by Walden International.

6. Spotted! | US$262K

Advertisement service that gamified ads. Offers Funded by FundedHere.

7. Hafta | US$28K

A behavioural data company for emerging markets, using offline and online information to build trustworthiness profiles. Undisclosed investors.

8. See Chat | US$28K

A messaging app that can be integrated into business directories and enable businesses to communicate with customers. Undisclosed investors.
