Edgeworx to Demonstrate Edge Computing Capabilities at Internet of Things World Asia 2018

Company co-founder and CEO to speak at Eclipse IoT Day conference

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#IoT–Edgeworx announced today its participation in the Internet of Things
(IoT) World Asia conference. The company will be demonstrating its
open-source technology, ioFog, which turns any device into a software
platform, at booth IoT41. IoT World attendees will learn that,
with Edgeworx, they can now build IoT software for the edge, with
different use cases, using the same types of tools that they use for the
cloud.

Kilton Hopkins, the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer,
will be part of Eclipse IoT Day, the pre-conference workshop taking
place on September 18, at 9 a.m. local time: https://tmt.knect365.com/iot-world-asia/agenda/1.

About Edgeworx

Edgeworx is an edge computing startup based in Silicon Valley. The
technology, ioFog, which is open-sourced under the Eclipse foundation,
turns any device into a software platform. Edgeworx provides an open
environment with microservices mimicking the cloud to allow
revenue-generating applications such as analytics and AI/ML to be easily
deployed at the edge with a single touch. A dynamic peer-to-peer mesh
network enables users to run applications where the data is generated,
without the round trip to the cloud, avoiding costly bandwidth and
latency. Edgeworx turns the edge from a vulnerable attack surface into a
secure defense surface, whereby having more edge devices actually
strengthens security. For more information, visit http://www.edgeworx.io
