Navy Federal Announces 2018 ROTC All-American Scholarship Winners

Federal Credit Union
announced the winners of the 2018 ROTC
All-American Scholarship. The winners chosen best exemplified the
pillars of the ROTC program: Leadership, Military Excellence,
Scholarship and Service. The scholarship was awarded to:

– Kirsten Cullinan, Notre Dame Air Force (view
– Brett Smith, Virginia Tech Air Force (view

Smith and Cullinan were two of 10
senior students
evaluated by a judging panel comprised of ESPN’s
Sage Steele and two Navy Federal representatives. Both will receive a
$6,500 scholarship and their ROTC programs will receive a $7,500
enrichment donation, to be announced live on ESPN December 31 at the
Military Bowl.

“As a graduate of Army ROTC, I understand the hard work these students
do while in and out of the classroom each day,” said Matt Lawson, vice
president of branch operations at Navy Federal Credit Union. “We at Navy
Federal recognize their dedication to service by awarding scholarships
to these students.”

The other eight seniors nominated will each receive a $1,500
scholarship. Additionally, their respective ROTC programs will receive a
