The SEED Africa Symposium will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, on September 28-29, focusing on supporting social enterprises in capitalising on their success and replicating proven business models.
The event, for which early bird registration is now open, will take place at the Safari Park Hotel under the theme “From Innovation to Imitation: Replicating Successful Business Models for Green Growth and Sustainable Development”.
SEED Africa will bring together around 500 enterprises, researchers, practitioners, investors, policymakers and representatives of civil society to engage in discussions and interactive sessions.
It will feature panel and roundtable discussions, as well as interactive sessions, aiming to provide not only insights on challenges and success stories when replicating business models, but also a platform for controversial questions and groundbreaking solutions mutually developed by stakeholders from business, politics, academia and civil society.
The SEED Award Ceremony will honour outstanding social and environmental enterprises, with the SAG-SEED Awards supported by the European Union, the SEED Africa Awards supported by the Government of Flanders, and the SEED Gender Equality Award.
Running in parallel to the Symposium, an exhibition will present innovative, locally-driven, entrepreneurial approaches to sustainable development challenges of social and eco enterprises from across the continent.
