#Africa Senegalese startup in Big Booster finals

//

Senegalese startup InTouch has made it through to the final stage of international accelerator Big Booster, and will travel to Boston to continue the company’s development within the US ecosystem.

Disrupt Africa reported in May international non-profit organisation Big Booster offered startups from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to scale their startups to Lyon, France, and Boston, US; through a two-staged accelerator programme.

92 startups – including 16 from Africa – made the shortlist, and participated in the first Big Booster camp in Lyon last week; which culminated in a head-to-head pitching contest.

The judges selected the top 20 startups to progress to the second round of the accelerator, to be held in Boston in February 2017.

Senegal’s InTouch was the only African startup to make the final 20.

InTouch provides business and marketing tools accessible online or via mobile, helping companies implement transactional services, monitor sales, and build customer loyalty.

The startup will now travel to Boston in February along with the other finalists; where they will meet with US-based industry experts and mentors to further develop their businesses.

Finalists will be challenged on their pitches, and trained to strengthen their value proposition through one-on-one mentoring sessions. High-level speakers will also provide them with insights to adjust their strategies.
