Smart Lab is Tanzania’s latest start-up accelerator + innovation lab set to officially launch in early 2018.

The program aims to work with disruptive entrepreneurs and developers to drive the growth of their innovative products and services.

As the newest arm of Smart Codes, a leading digital marketing agency based in Dar es Salaam, Smart Lab will connect selected entrepreneurs + product builders with its team of creatives, strategists, and developers to take their companies to scale.  It will provide creative and product development services, strategic networking, business coaching, and a platform for user and product testing.

“Smart Lab is an opportunity for the young talent in Tanzania who are building great products, but lack the financial resources and connections, to finally get their chance to shine. When we see a startup with great promise, we utilize our creative capital and business acumen to help grow their impact, ” says Edwin Bruno, CEO of Smart Codes.

To apply for this program, interested parties should look forward to seeing applications early next year. Smart Lab is seeking high-potential early and growth-stage teams with a product that has already been built, ideas on paper will not be accepted. Preference will be given to high-potential East African ventures that already have market traction.
