1. Katsana | Malaysia (Startup Profile)

Katsana is a startup that offers telematics for monitoring vehicle fleets in real time and gleaning insights with data analytics capabilities. It installs a beacon in vehicles that allows owners to track them and retrieve their movement history down to the smallest details.

2. The Postbox | India (Startup Profile)

The Postbox is an e-commerce platform that works with 250 artisans across India to offer a tiny but precious range of art and lifestyle products, all designed by an in-house team, all examples of functional art. They release no more than three or four products a month, yet The Postbox gets around 1,100 orders, with an average order value of US$30.

3. Paylatr | India (Startup Profile)

Fintech startup Paylatr enables recurring offline grocery payments at neighborhood stores without cash or cards. It extends a monthly credit of INR 5,000-8,000 (US$74-118) to those users who sign up with it. When they go shopping in neighborhood stores that are also on Paylatr, the customers literally pay later for the things they buy.

4. Tima | Vietnam (Startup Profile)

Tima uses algorithms that pull people’s credit scores and analyze data from their social media accounts to determine their creditworthiness, then matches them with lenders. It charges a fee for every successful transaction. The startup now has over 960 lenders on its platform, which has seen more than 2 million transactions since it was created in July 2015.

5. GoFro | India (Startup Profile)

Delhi-based GoFro is an online travel planning and booking marketplace focused on Indian travelers. An end-to-end online travel agent, it combines flight, hotel, and transportation booking with an itinerary planner. Users can also indicate a “theme” they want the trip to follow. Themes include romance, beaches, bachelor parties, honeymoons, or budget travel.
