Indonesia is mobile tech heaven. With 43 per cent of its over 200 million population using smartphones, the country is a hotbed for new and disruptive mobile technology. But mobile tech or not, the startup scene in Indonesia is growing and investors have their eyes trained on it.

We went into our regular dives into the e27 database and came up with this list of 22 startups in Indonesia that has recently raised funds.

An online marketplace that lets users find quality hotels across Asia. It has tie-ups with over 50 independent hotels offering over 400 rooms for all segments from budget rooms to luxury villas. Funded by Mangrove Capital Partners and Simile Venture Partners.

 

Hello Health Group | US$1.5M

An online platform for medical information and health-related content created by medical experts and doctors. Funded by CMG.ASIA.

Printerous | US$1.4M

An online design platform that lets users create art by using photos. Funded byGolden Gate Ventures.

 

Moka | US$1.9M

A cloud-based mobile Point-of-Sale system for small businesses and medium enterprises. Funded by Mandiri Capital.

 

Fabelio | US$2M

An online furniture showroom and marketplace for custom-made home accessories. Funded by Venturra Capital, 500 Startups, and IMJ Investment Partners.

 

Alodokter | US$2.5M

An online health portal that provides users with access to medical-related content and interaction with qualified doctors. Funded by Golden Gate Ventures.

A mobile application that allows its clients to advertise through lockscreen. It gives users redeemable mobile cash. Funded by K Cube Ventures.

 

Lyke | US$4M

A mobile app that allows users to discover and purchase fashion products, combining the products of popular online shops as well as items from traditional bazaars. Funded by Holtzbrinck Ventures.

 

Zilingo | US$8M

A mobile marketplace that aggregates sellers across stores and street markets of Bangkok. Funded by Venturra Capital, Sequoia India, Susquehanna International Group, Wavemaker Partners, and Digital Garage

 

HaloDoc | US$13M

An online healthcare service application that allows doctors to communicate with patients online, as well as store laboratory results online. Funded by Clermont Group, Go-Jek, Blibli, and NSI Ventures.

 

Amartha | US$30M

A peer to peer lending market connecting investors and micro and small businesses. Funded by Mandiri Capital and Beenext.

HarukaEdu | US$2.2M

An online learning portal offering a wide range of formal and informal education courses. Funded by CyberAgent Ventures and Pearson Affordable Learning Fund.

 

Kurio | US$5M

A personal content discovery app that filters millions of content to recommend the ones that matches user’s personality and interests. Funded by Gunosy.

 

Baca | US$20M

News discovery app that uses artificial intelligence to match delivered news to user interest. Funded by Bertelsmann India Investments.

Elevenia | US$50M

Online marketplace that allows users to both buy and sell. Funded by XL Axiata and SK Planet.

Tokopedia | US$147M

Online marketplace for individual and business sellers to easily open and manage their onw online stores for free. Funded by Amasia.

KerjaDulu | US$5M

A professional networking and recruitment platform. Funded by MNC Media Investment.

 

Nida Rooms | US$5.6M

An online and mobile booking platform for low-cost accommodations in multiple countries. Funded by Shanda Capital

 

GO-JEK | US$550M

An on-demand convenience platform that lets users book courier, transport, food delivery, and shopping services. Funded by KKR, Sequioa Capital, Capital Groups, Rakuten, NSI Ventures, DST Global, and Warburg Pincus.
