Malaysian startup Dropee is a B2B product sourcing platform for online retailers. It works with many independent brands to secure inventories for immediate drop-shipping, so that entrepreneurs can source high quality and unique products on the platform.
Confessing to be highly enthusiastic about entrepreneurship and tech, Dropee CEO Lennise said she believes that these two combined will be able to push humanity forward.
As part of our 5 Fun Facts series of articles where we get startup founders and executives to show their lighter side, we asked Lennise to answer these five fun questions.
What is one thing that is definitely on your bucket list?
Go for a great white shark diving expedition.
What is the oldest gadget you have that is still working?
My iPod Classic… yeah, shocking!
What is your favourite movie of all time and why?
The Godfather. It’s beautiful storytelling about the transition of one’s character, that covered many significant topics such as crime, politics, marriage, loyalty, betrayal, and so forth.
Not to mention the acting was spot on (especially Marlon Brando’s), the read-between-the-lines dialogues, and amazing cinematography. There’s just nothing not to love about this movie.
Which fiction book has influenced you most and why?
Harry Potter. The literature itself contains many great life lessons all bundled up in intricate plots written in rich imaginary details. Oh, and not to mention the strong female characters! No HP fan can ever forget Mrs. Weasley’s fine line: “Not my daughter, you bitch!”
If you could travel back in time, where would you like to go or whom would you like to meet?
Frank Sinatra.
