Bangalore-based leading fashion e-tailer Myntra is Flipkart’s biggest acquisition till date
Flipkart is the largest home-grown e-commerce company in India. Started in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal (they are not related), the Bangalore-headquartered company has raised mind-blowing US$3.15 billion in funding over 12 rounds so far from prominent VCs and corporates, including DST Global, Morgan Stanley, Tiger Global, GIC and Qatar Investment Authority.

Flipkart started off as a an online retail shop, and in 2013 it pivoted to a marketplace model. During its nine years of existence, the company has acquired as many companies, including leading fashion portal Myntra.
