The company is officially hiring for its future Apple Store — and yes, the position is for Apple Expert

Cautious optimism was the dish best served after Pure Fitness leaked news that an Apple Store would be opening at Knightsbridge on Orchard Road in 2016.

Today, it seems we can eliminate the qualifying ‘cautious’ because the company is officially hiring in Singapore — and yes, the position is for Apple Expert.

Before the announcement, Singaporeans had to visit third-party distributors for Apple products. By comparison, Hong Kong has four Apple Stores.

While it is not overly difficult to buy an Apple product in Singapore, having an Apple Store does give the city a centralized location with employees whose job is to know the details of Apple products. Expertise that is not always guaranteed at random electronics shops.

This update also comes after Apple announced it is moving Apple Pay into the city in 2016.

Apple already has a corporate office on Ang Mo Kio Street.
