Servify, a Mumbai-based startup that aims to work as a personal assistant for all electronic gadgets and appliances owned by consumers in a household, has secured pre-Series A funding led by existing investor Blume Ventures.

Southeast Asian VC fund Beenext, besides existing investors Barkawi Holdings and TM Service Technology Holdings, also participated.

The startup will use the funds to improve the product, service and technology offerings.

Started in 2015, Servify helps consumers store their bills and warranty on cloud, in addition to connecting with brand authorised service ecosystem when consumers need a reliable repair.
The app also helps consumers track the status of service request in real time, including showing the distance of a service centre on Google Maps.

“Around this time last year, we started Servify with an ambitious dream to radically change the way OEMs and brands deliver customer service to owners of personal gadgets and home appliances. We launched the first version of our product early this year and from that point of time it has been an exciting journey for all of us,” said Founder Sreevathsa P in a blog post.

“In the last few months, through multiple discussions with our customers and OEM partners, our vision has moved beyond just service management and has evolved towards device lifecycle ownership. It’s much bigger than what we started with and we’re excited to seize the opportunity,” he added.

He claimed that from the first version of Servify’s commercial launch in March this year, it now has over half a million devices managed on its platform. “We continue to integrate with more OEMs, brands, resellers and service providers to deliver our promise of an empowering device lifecycle ownership,” Sreevathsa added.

In Mid this year, the firm partnered with OnePlus to help consumers to connect with the authorised service centres of the mobile phone brand for a smooth service experience.
