It is common knowledge in the startup world that the Chinese tech ecosystem is leading the East Asian region and has risen to rival that of Silicon Valley.

For many startups in Southeast Asia, the Chinese market is a puzzle — both an alluring opportunity but also an intimidating environment. Capturing market share in China would be a boon for any company, but success is far from guaranteed.

For startups who are interested in entering China, the 2016 China Venture Capital Winter Summit presents an opportunity to, at the very least, meet with investors, startups and stakeholders in the Chinese startup scene.

The event takes at Clear Water Bay on the island of Hainan (sometimes called the ‘Hawaii of China’). The dates are November 21-22 but registration ends tomorrow (September 30) — so get on it!

“In order for China to move up the value chain and onto the next stage of economic development, it must invest in innovative technologies and businesses.  Chinese investors are very hungry to invest in disruptive technologies from around the world and then find a way to integrate those technologies into the Chinese marketplace,” said Wenhong You the Co-Founder and Director of Jefferson Investors.

“We are excited to be a part of this massive exchange of ideas and capital, and we believe this is truly a win-win scenario where Chinese investors get the returns and technologies they want, while the foreign startups get the capital they need to grow,” he added.

During the event, startups will have two days to pitch and network with investors from across the world. Furthermore Chinese government officials will be present.

One keynote speaker is Zhu Shijie, the founder and chairman of Shanghai Jaison School of Management who has been a senior executive on several Fortune 500 companies.

The other is Ryan Leslie, a Grammy-nominated recording artist from the US who is the Founder and CEO of SuperPhone and NextSelection Lifestyle Group.

Oh yeah, and while you’re there, make sure to order some Hainese chicken.
