JustDoc, an India-based startup that enables patients to do video consultations with qualified and experienced doctors via its website, has secured an undisclosed sum in seed funding from Bangalore-based startup discovery platform Tracxn Labs.
Started in 2015, JustDoc connects patients with top doctors in India via online consultation.
Patients can also use the platform to get 24×7 access to over a 100 quality doctors from top hospitals such as Apollo, Fortis, Manipal and AIIMS.
Currently, JustDoc is targetting five specialisations — general medicine, psychology, gynaecology, dermatology and paediatrics.
It claims it facilitates more than 100 video consultations on its platform daily. Currently, more than 2500 consultations have been done on JustDoc.
Earlier this month, JustDoc also launched its mobile app.
Said Co-founder Abhishek Kumar, “We want to have patients who come to us because either their employer or someone else they trust told them about it to get an honest and unbiased medical opinion from top doctors unlike the present system where the administration just wants to make money.”
“Medical health in third world countries is a big issue and it suffers from problems like shortage of adequate doctors, differential care due to varying financial status of patients and acute accessibility to the doctors and facility, especially in the rural areas. I have invested in JustDoc because their solution to these problems is to leverage technology and break the barriers that include reducing financial burden, providing video medical consultation in rural areas by connecting everyone from anywhere to the best possible doctors at a minimum cost,” said InMobi’s Saxena
