Cloud-based software services to back-up digital assets for social and medium enterprises (SMEs) Dropsuite today announced that it has secured partnership with US-based tech distributor Ingram Micro, marking its official entry to the North American market.

With the new partnership, US-based customers can now purchase Dropsuite’s website and database backup product Dropmysite at Ingram Micro’s own Cloud Marketplace, an ecosystem of IT buyers, sellers, and solutions that allow customers to directly purchase, provision, manage, and invoice cloud offerings from a single dashboard.

“This partnership extends our reach in North America through Ingram Micro’s vast network of channel partners … We are excited about this partnership with Ingram Micro as it marks a major milestone for our business, enabling seamless delivery of our backup and recovery solutions to SMEs via the Cloud Marketplace,” said Dropsuite COO Ridley Ruth.

According to an Odin report, the US market size for cloud services was pegged at US$25 billion in 2015.

Singapore-based Dropsuite was launched in 2012 as Dropmysite. In March, together with its two other stand-alone brands Dropmyemail and Dropmymobile, the company announced a consolidation in which it also rebranded itself into Dropsuite.

The company’s march into the North American market was part of its global strategy following its rebranding, and it is currently in the final stages of a backdoor listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).

The strategy is part of a reverse takeover agreement with Excalibur Mining Corporation, which was first announced on January 2016.
