It has already onboarded Kuala Lumpur’s most well known co-working and serviced offices
The “Airbnb for office and other commercial spaces” FlySpaces has announced its official launch in Kuala Lumpur today. It has already onboarded leading KL co-working and serviced offices including JustCo, Servcorp, Voffice, Centennial and ICube.
Previously, it was only operating in three cities – Singapore, Manila and Cebu.
Founded in October 2015, the Philippines-based startup provides flexible office bookings from meeting rooms available by the hour, training and workshop spaces available by the day, to short-term shared or private offices by the month. It also rents out event spaces, and pop-up retail stores.
It has accumulated a listing over 400 workspaces covering 150,000 square metres. Over 200 businesses including riding-hailing giant Uber and Singapore media company Mediacorp have signed up to the platform.

FlySpaces cited economic slowdown in the region as the catalyst for the high take-ups.
“After our launch in Singapore, entering Kuala Lumpur was the next logical step. The two cities share lots of economic activities, Singapore being Malaysia’s biggest trading partner with US$ 37 billion in exports”, said Mario Berta, FlySspaces’ CEO and Co-founder, in an official press statement.
Going forward, the company plans to increase its number of partners, targeting established businesses that wish to monetise their extra office space, to keep up with the demand for more flexible, short-term workspaces.
This year, FlySpaces was crowned by judges as the top startup in the TOP100 Philippine qualifiers. It also raised US$500,000 from Future Now Ventures, Narra Ventures, Coent Venture Partner Rubina Real Estate, and entrepreneurs Michael Brehm and Thomas Baum.
