ViCare claims to have partnered with more than 19,000 clinics and 20,000 doctors across Vietnam

ViCare Corporation, an 8-month-old health e-directory startup in Vietnam, has secured its second round of funding from Japan’s CyberAgent Ventures and Singapore’s Pix Vine Capital.

The size of the funding has not been disclosed.

The startup has earlier raised its first round of funding from a few angel investors.

Incorporated in last December, ViCare is aims to make quality healthcare accessible to every Vietnamese. It claims to have partnered with more than 19,000 clinics and 20,000 doctors. The platform has more than 200,000 users, with 3,000 users’ comments and 6,000 medical questions sent to the platform monthly, according to a statement.

Dzung Nguyen, Head of CyberAgent Ventures Thailand and Vietnam, said: “Healthcare is a sizeably potential market with many opportunities for disruption, especially in Vietnam. This market has many problems such as non-transparency, lack of information, and very low ratio of doctor per capita. These problems represent big opportunities for startups to disrupt the market with good solutions, and we see a lot of potential in ViCare to do that.”

ViCare was founded in by Pham Anh Duc (CEO) and Dave Bui (CTO). Duc has extensive management experiences in both startup and corporate environments. Prior to starting up ViCare, he was CEO of Nhanh, a startup providing SaaS solutions to Vietnamese SMEs. Before that, he was the Country Head (Marketing) at Lazada Vietnam.

Bui has seven years’ experience in software development in Vietnam, Australia and the UK. Before co-founding ViCare, he was Head (Tech Product ) at VNDirect. Previously, Bui has worked at many large corporations such as Dentsu, Isobar UK, Isobar Australia and Next Digital.
