With this, FunPlus becomes the global publisher of Valiant Force, the flagship mobile role-playing games from XII Braves

FunPlus, the publisher of mobile game Dot Arena and a leading social games company, today announced that it has made a strategic ‘multi-million investment’ in mobile games developer XII Braves (pronounced as twelve braves).

The investment was made through PublishingPlus, a global US$50 million fund launched by FunPlus to grow and promote exceptional independent developers and artists in the gaming industry.

With this, FunPlus becomes the global publisher of Valiant Force — the flagship mobile role playing games (RPG) from XII Braves. Valiant Force is scheduled to begin its soft-launch in selected regions in July 2016.

Moving forward, FunPlus and XII Braves will continue to cooperate on game content development, marketing, social media engagement, and global publishing operations.

“We are thrilled to obtain the global publishing rights for Valiant Force, possibly the first triple-A mobile game developed in Southeast Asia. XII Braves is also the first developer from Asia we have invested in through our PublishingPlus initiative,” said Andy Zhong, Founder and CEO of FunPlus.

Founded in 2010, FunPlus is a mobile social gaming company that puts fun first for players worldwide. It has over 400 employees and is headquartered in Beijing, China, with additional offices in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, and the US.

FunPlus’ popular Facebook game, Family Farm, currently boasts over 100 million registered players globally. Dot Arena, the company’s first mobile game in Southeast Asia, has attracted over 10 million downloads on the App Store and Google Play.

Founded in 2014 by Ng and Jonathan Leong, XII Braves is a mobile game developer based in Singapore. The studio’s flagship mobile game that features handcrafted 2D artwork, stunning 3D visuals, and orchestral music composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. Players can create and customise different squads from over 200 unique heroes and 40 diverse job paths, loot and craft powerful equipment, and unlock incredible combat skills.
