GetLinks, a Bangkok-based hiring startup, has recently announced its first acquisition of LetsCatchUp, a New Delhi-based social hiring network that currently helps more than 100,000 tech talents in India. The acquisition is an important strategic move for GetLinks penetration into the country of diversity.

With 1.25 billion people and more than 20 years of tech industry history, India is regarded as a tremendous source of highly skilled tech talents.

This merger will enable GetLinks to reach out to the over two million tech talent graduating every year in India, as well as assist LetsCatchUp to introduce highly skilled tech professionals to Asiawide tech career opportunities.

The company’s goal is to build a technology platform that can revolutionise the traditional, manual tech hiring process by empowering top tech talents to receive offers of career opportunities beyond the limits of country boundaries.

Offering tech hiring services to only 5 per cent of the top tech talents in their database and the top 10 per cent of the fastest growing companies in Asia, the self-described “Linkedin for tech millenials” curates tech talents using a high vetting process that ensures quality candidates and companies on both sides.

GetLinks named the acquisition as part of a broader Asia strategy to launch their ‘cross-border’ campaign, aiming to connect 100 million tech talents to wider career opportunities around Asia. This will also help companies under intensifying competition for tech talent in emerging markets like Hong Kong and Singapore.

“We have found perfect partners in GetLinks, who share our vision to disrupt the recruitment industry with social hiring and bridge the international borders for tech talent in Asia,” said Vinay Pahlajani, CEO, LetsCatchup, in a press statement.

Founded in 2015, GetLinks is funded by CyberAgent Ventures, Japan and accelerated by 500 Startups in California. The US-headquartered company is currently operating in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and this rapid expansion now include India. To date, it has connected over 30,000 tech talents in Asia to companies such as Google, Line Corp, Garena and Grab.

Launched in 2014, LetsCatchup is a JFDI.Asia backed recruitment startup, which connects tech talent from over 50 engineering institutions in India.
