sponsor shoutout 2

Echelon Thailand 2015 is all about showcasing the best startups and innovation that the Mekong region has to offer. To this end, we have garnered the support and association of a few large corporations who see real value in encouraging startups. Read on to know more about the startups and the sponsors behind them.

Accelerate to success

dtac Accelerate is one of the most well-known accelerator programmes in Thailand. It was first set up as a way for dtac, a telecommunications provider, to help startups tap all kinds of resources that they wouldn’t be able to access otherwise — from mentorship opportunities to getting educated on how they can scale a business and build innovative products.

It is also one of the most loyal and long-time supporters of e27 and our events in Thailand. The accelerator has outdone itself this time with Andrew Kvalseth, Head of the Strategy & Innovation Division, speaking at Echelon Thailand 2015.

At Echelon Thailand 2015, dtac will be bringing down the following six startups.

SKOOTAR is a web/mobile based application that helps connect SMEs with available scooter messengers in the area. It also aims to make delivery processes more efficient by calculating and combining similar routes to optimise time and cost, benefitting both SMEs and messengers.

Super RFQ

An online platform for procurement of construction materials, Super RFQ helps contractors get quotes easier and for free! It also helps sellers get a chance to provide quotes that are 90 per cent cheaper.

Zmyhome is a home portal exclusively for owners to list their property for sale and rent, no agents allowed. The main goal is to eliminate high commission and illiquidity of real estate market.

GIZTIX is an e-marketplace for worldwide logistics services. These services include truck, freight and customs clearance. It helps shippers (who wants goods shipped) get the best prices in seconds and helps transporters (who operate transportation services) get more sales.

The Piggipo app helps users manage their credit card usage by tracking spending and warning them when they are approaching their credit limit.

Take Me Tour

See Thailand through the local’s eyes. TakeMeTour is an online marketplace for one-day tours offered by local people. It is the Airbnb for such tours and the biggest marketplace for day tours in Thailand.

It’s not just about funding

Another ardent supporter and sponsor of the event is Inspire Ventures, a firm managing a US$25 million fund to finance startups. It has made several investments so far – including one in Thailand-based social media management tool Page365 and another in SuperAwesome Asia, a marketing channel targetting children.

At Echelon Thailand 2015, Inspire Ventures will be bringing down the following three startups:

All things finance

Last but not least, while this is the first time KBank, or Kasikorn Thai Bank, is supporting our event in the country, we don’t doubt that the financial institution shares our vision and enthusiasm for startups. KBank is keen on helping entrepreneurs better understand the fintech industry and working with them to provide consumers with a better, friendlier experience.

Teeranun Srihong, President, KBank, will also be speaking at Echelon about how we can all drive financial innovation in the region – watch out for that!

At Echelon Thailand 2015, KBank will be bringing down the following two startups:

The motto for this startup is ‘One Loyalty Card for All Rewards’. Applicable to both cardholders and businesses, ChocoCard is the first company in Thailand that offers you the tools to connect and improve efficiency on both sides.

Flow Account is an easy-to-use cloud accounting solution designed specifically for small business owners, which helps them create invoices, track payments, enter expenses and view reports with ease.

These startups and more will be at Echelon Thailand 2015 on November 26 and 27. The event will be hosted at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Tickets are available for purchase online. Exclusive to e27 readers, use promo code e27Subscriber to enjoy awesome savings.
