DOKU is HotelQuickly’s first local payment partner in the Asia Pacific
Hong Kong-based mobile-only booking app HotelQuickly announced a new partnership Jakarta-based payment enabler DOKU on Tuesday. The new partnership allows users to use offline payment channels to settle their bookings.
DOKU is HotelQuickly’s first local payment partner in the Asia Pacific, giving Indonesian users more payment options. Starting this week, users can book stays using the DOKU ATM transfers service, also known as a virtual account.
“We’re taking this step because we see a huge potential for the Indonesian tourism market, and because we want to offer our Indonesian members the simplest, smoothest booking experience possible,” said Faustine Tan, Co-Founder & Managing Director for Indonesia at HotelQuickly.
In the future, HotelQuickly plans to include the DOKU e-wallet service, as well as in-store payment channels in mini-mart outlets.

In a market that remains reluctant to embrace e-payment methods, DOKU has managed to secure approximately 850,000 e-wallet customers and since being bfounded in 2007 and now serves more than 17,000 merchants.
“As payment enablers, we always strive to help our merchants overcome the limitations in various online payments with innovative solutions that [are adapted] to the market conditions of e-commerce in Indonesia,” said Himelda Renuat, Chief Marketing Officer of DOKU.
“This partnership shows the credibility to provide global standard quality for payment services to our customers,” she added.
