Till a few years ago, Silicon Valley enjoyed being the only startup destination in the world. The presence of top tech honchos such as Google and Facebook, existence of leading prominent VC investors, ease of doing business and simple registration process — Silicon Valley had (and still has) all the right ingredients to hold this crown all these years.
But things are fast changing. Valley is no longer the king. The region is facing tough competition not just from other US cities such as New York, Boston and Seattle, but also facing threat from cities around the world, including Tel Aviv, Bangalore, London and Singapore. They are the new destinations that entrepreneurs across the globe are now looking to take their businesses to.
