The startups are:
An agritech startup which aims to use underutilised land to produce vegetables to be distributed to the market. It has recently received seed funding led by East Ventures.
Accounting platform for SMEs which had recently secured its Series A funding from East Ventures, Fenox VC, and angel investor Budi Setiadharma.
Grameen Foundation-incubated Mapan (Ruma) is a social enterprise that allows individuals to purchase products through traditional “arisan” groups.
Content discovery and social commerce platform which ad recently received a Series A from Gobi Ventures.
Apart from those startups, the programme will also be joined by developers from Brazil, India, Mexico, Argentina, Columbia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
The programme will commence on January 20. Participants will receive guidance from Google Engineers, Product Managers, and other experts from various VC and tech firms in Silicon Valley.
Startups participating in the programme will receive non-equity support, credits for Google products, PR assistance, and the opportunity to work with Google for six months in each startup’s home country.
