Singapore-based cash rebate service ShopBack Singapore, has expanded beyond its desktop and mobile-optimised sites with the launch of its mobile app.
Available on Apple iOS and Android, the startup aims to encourage the ‘Shop-and-Save’ lifestyle to its users. To encourage user adoption of the “Shop-and-Save” lifestyle, ShopBack Singapore is offering a S$5 (US$3.72) cash bonus which can be unlocked with a minimum purchase of S$25 (US$18.61) from 4 July 2016 to 5 July 2016.
Using a single app, shoppers can expect to save as high as 50 per cent savings with ShopBack’s up to 30 per cent cashback as well as 80 per cent in-store clearance offers.
Among the key features of the app include:
- Cashback Shopping: users can earn up to 30 per cent cashback at over 500 stores
- Upsized Cashback: users can view stores offering upsized cashback to access better deals
- Coupon Codes: users can get access to unique coupon codes that can be easily copied and applied before checkout
- Popular Stores: users can check out what other ShopBack Singapore users frequently shop at
- Staff Picks: users can view Staff recommendations of the latest stores as well as latest deals served in a tab
- Highest Cashback: users can find out the shops that offer the highest amount of Cashback to gain the most out of shopping trips
- My Total Cashback: users can access ShopBack wallet to view the amount of savings earned. They can also easily trace their cashback using this function
- Notification Settings: users can stay updated with trending deal, Cashback earned and payment alerts

“Today, we help consumers save on their shopping with up to 30 per cent cashback offering. When we give shoppers cashback, we’re returning them some of the money that they’ve used for their purchases via ShopBack,” said Josephine K Chow, Country Head of ShopBack Singapore.
Shopback claims that an average shopper can save about S$500 (US$372.20) by using its platform. It also claims there are over 250,000 ShopBack users in Singapore alone.
Launched in 2014, ShopBack offers cash rebates to shoppers at over 1,000 online stores including Lazada, Zalora, RedMart, Honestbee and Taobao. It operates in five regional markets including Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and India, and has an affiliate office in the US.
