Singapore-based cloud e-commerce solutions provider CommGate has announced it has inked a partnership deal with Alibaba Cloud & Alibaba eCommerce, the international business and cloud computing arms of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group.

This agreement will allow Alibaba’s merchants in Southeast Asia to leverage on CommGate’s suite of cloud-based e-commerce solutions to scale and enhance productivity of their business.

These solutions include Inventory Management, CRM, Invoicing, Point-of-Sale and Real-time Analytics.

Moonshi Mohsenruddin, Founder & CEO of CommGate, said its solutions solve critical pain points for merchants who have trouble tracking products in real-time across multiple marketplaces.

“With CommGate CloudPOS and CommGate Agora, merchants only need to input their product information into CommGate CloudInventory, which allows them to select and post the products onto multiple e-commerce sites and marketplaces at one go. In addition to synchronizing inventory across all sites, CommGate Agora will consolidate sales and customer information to provide analytics to help merchants do targeted marketing to generate repeat orders from their customers,” said Mohsenruddin in a press statement.

Marcus Chow, CEO of Marx B, an exclusive men’s shoe retailer and CommGate customer commented, in the same press release, that CommGate’s cloud solutions provided the means to monitor analytics, allowing him to adjust market strategies accordingly. He also said that the inventory management system reduced stockouts, allowing Marx B to increase productivity and sales revenue.

Merchants in Singapore can tap on various government grants including IE Singapore’s Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) to subsidise the cost of implementing the CommGate Agora platform to list their products and open new sales channels on multiple global e-commerce marketplaces.

“Leveraging on our partnership with Alibaba Group, Alibaba Cloud and with the incentives from the Singapore government to promote internationalisation, we aim to make CommGate CloudERP, CommGate CloudPOS and CommGate Agora the choice for e-commerce and retail merchants throughout Asia,” said Mohsenruddin.

CommGate was founded in 2005. Over the years, it pivoted from being a traditional systems integrator to a cloud-based enterprise software solutions provider serving the SMEs in Southeast Asia.

In 2015, it was named as one of the “Top 10 Best Tech Company to Work for” by the Singapore Computer Society.
