The acquisition of Aurum Healthcare will mark Accuron’s sixth investment in a medtech company in the last two and a half years
Temasek Holdings-owned Singapore-based technology and engineering company Accuron Technologies has announced its has acquired Malaysia-based medtech company Aurum Healthcare .
This marks the six medtech acquisition that Accuron Medtech Group — a division within the Accuron Technologies — has made in the last two and a half years. It will allocate Aurum position under Advanced Materials Technologies (AMT), a Singapore-based contract manufacturer which focusses on the medical, automotive, and industrial industries.
AMT will now be able to use Aurum’s 20,000 sqft facility at the Setia Business Park, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to manufacture plastic medical consumables — such as such as those used in heart bypass, catheterisation or angiography procedures. Currently, AMT already has 120,000 sqft facilities located in Tuas, Singapore and Dongguan City, China.
Aurum will also provide sterilistation services for medical devices and instruments, as well as clean room manufacturing and assembly services to AMT.

Aurum was founded in 2011, and focusses on developing products for cardiovascular, orthopaedics, anaesthesiology, nephrology and critical care applications.
