They certainly dominate the headlines, but the technology behind driverless cars is still a long way from becoming a reality
We seem to be on the road to inevitability when it comes to self-driving cars. Google is leading the way, but governments in Singapore, South Korea and the Netherlands have included developing the technology as part of the national agenda.
But, even with government support, the cars are not overly close to entering our lives. So, besides government legislation, what is preventing the driverless car technology from hitting the freeways.
