Nepsis® Appoints Malia Haskins as VP of Estate Planning

Under Haskins’ leadership, firm strengthens holistic wealth management and family office framework with new estate planning services

MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#EstatePlanningNepsis®, Inc. (“Nepsis”), a national financial advisor and investment management firm, continues to strengthen its management team with the appointment of Malia Haskins as the firm’s inaugural vice president of estate planning. Haskins will oversee the new estate planning services, working closely with the firm’s tax division to integrate estate planning into tax strategies. This promotes a holistic approach to client wealth management and enhances Nepsis’ ability to deliver valued services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families.

Bringing estate planning in-house expands Nepsis’ family office framework, allowing the company to address all aspects of clients’ financial needs under one roof. Haskins will offer clients financial and legal guidance on the management and transfer of their estates. She will also develop custom estate strategies and work with other departments to integrate these services into overall tax and financial planning.

“Malia’s extensive experience makes her ideal to lead this new service within our family office framework,” said Bryan Eberle, president of Nepsis® Tax Solutions. “Adding a professional of Malia’s caliber and introducing estate planning services bolsters our comprehensive approach to tax planning. We’re confident this development will further advance our goal of providing clients with the clarity they need to fully understand their financial lives.”

Haskins brings over 30 years of wealth management leadership experience to the Nepsis team. The majority of her career in wealth management was spent with RBC Wealth Management (“RBC”), most recently as vice president, wealth strategist working with high-net-worth clients on customized financial plans and focusing on legacy planning for business owners and families. Haskins also served as director and private wealth advisor at BMO Private Bank, and as senior trust officer with Wells Fargo Private Client Group. She earned a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and, as an attorney, can offer strategic advice to help Nepsis advisors and clients navigate the complexities that may arise during the estate planning process.

“Bryan, Mark and team have assembled a formidable roster of local talent over the past 12 months,” Haskins said. “Nepsis is developing a framework that will enhance the firm’s ability to help business owners and families define their financial goals. This approach allows us to design and implement strategies that align with that purpose in mind. I’m excited to be part of the family office structure that’s at the core of Nepsis and to lead the estate planning offering.”

The move to implement estate planning services and hire Haskins follows a year of significant growth for Nepsis. The firm has been active in expanding its leadership team and tax solutions division. In the past year, the firm acquired full-service accounting firm Sevenich, Butler, Gerlach & Brazil, Ltd. and appointed vice presidents Jack Cahill, J.D., CPA, and Chad Koebnick, CPA, to introduce specialized tax offerings.
