A multi-stakeholder consultation on the accelerated implementation of women’s rights and the African Decade of Human Rights was organized jointly by the African Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNOHCHR) in collaboration with the Government of Canada on Friday 21 October 2016 to celebrate the African Human Rights Day.
