The online tool is free to use for startups who want to spread the word about their brand

With global spending on events at an estimated $565 billion in 2012, and custom t-shirts comprising a  significant five per cent of most event costs, according to Saltycustoms, custom t-shirt design and production is a lucrative industry and the Malaysia-based company wants to increase accessibility to its services.

To do this, Saltycustoms has developed an online tool to make designing a shirt quick and easy. Targetted at startups, the online tool allows customized messages and will soon include a library of over a thousand designs to choose from.

“We want to help startups as much as we have helped our bigger clients. We understand that every brand has a story to tell and we want our products to be trusted to get the messages across to people,” said Shannon Toh, Saltycustoms Executive Director of Business Development.

Saltycustoms, which launched in 2009, promises delivery to both Malaysia and Singapore within 10 working days, and has a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.

The company has serviced over 900 corporate clients including Universal Music Malaysia, Heineken, Starbucks and GrabTaxi.

In 2010, Saltycustoms introduced Apparel Consultants who work with an in-house design team to advise corporate clients during the process of producing a custom shirt.
