A study by Aspiring Minds shows that while volume of hiring and budgets have grown, the average annual salary has not kept pace
A recent study conducted by global jobs credentialing company Aspiring Minds reveals a rising demand for professionals in non-technical roles in Indian startups.
This is against the popular notion that startups hire only programmers or developers.
As per this research, 47 per cent of the entry-level hirings comprises professionals in non-technical roles.

While the hiring volume and budgets have grown manifold for startups to be able to successfully scale and build an efficient workforce, only 3 per cent of the hired manpower has been able to cross an annual compensation of more than 7 lakh (US$10,500) per annum.
Also, though sales workforce continues to play an integral part in the growth strategy of startups, non-technical roles such as marketing, digital media executives, content writers and business analysts have increasingly gained relevance.
