We know smartphones play an important role in our lives, but it is always cool to see how it translates into statistics
Remember when Internet ‘dial-up’ tones would elicit a pavlovian response of excitement; opening up a world beyond our wildest imagination?
We have long past that moment and mobile phones have come to dominate our lives — so much so that many people are beginning to wonder if they cause more harm than good.
The following statistic, courtesy of an infographic from WebTrackStudio is really an eye-opener:
A recent study has found that the average person checks their device 85 times a day, spending 5 hours browsing the web and using apps. This equates to about a third of the time a person is awake and is twice as often as many people even realise.
Wow.
Check out some other crazy stats below that reveal just how important smartphones have become in daily life.
