#Africa Yochaa app launched to improve access to Nigeria Stock Exchange

//

Nigerian app Yochaa has gone live for iOS, offering users access to the data generated by the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) to help investors make more informed decisions.

The app has been in beta testing for over a year but has now been formally launched, aimed at increasing the amount of information available on the NSE, which is one of the fastest growing stock markets in Africa.

The man behind the app, Osagie Zogie-Odigie, said it was developed in order to fill an information gap and encourage more people to invest in stocks.

Yochaa is free to use, with Zogie-Odigie saying the company will monetise through banner advertising. Though he said there are a number of companies that provide tools for analysing NSE data, all of these are web-based, without mobile applications.

“We have a subscription model that allows users to use Yochaa ad-free. In addition we have premium features that users could pay for. One of such features is Yochaa Print, which allows  users to create high resolution PDF charts of A0 size,” he said.
