#Asia Vietnam’s Moonwalkers remind us why we got into startups in the first place

Forget corporate co-working spaces, the Moonwalkers — and their tiny makerspace in residential Hanoi — embrace the experimentation and enthusiasm of tech

MOONWALKERS (1)

In the heart of residential Hanoi is a traditional Vietnamese home owned for seven generations. On the top floor is a ten square metre room, with no air conditioning and the ancestral altar of its three residents.

Welcome to the unlikely headquarters for a Hanoian makerspace.

This room is the pride and joy for a group of twenty-somethings passionate about hardware and IoT. Whether it is thermometers, binary clocks or 3D printed objects, these guys are the epitome of the experimentation and passion that drive the best of tech.
