#Africa AfriLabs welcomes new hubs into pan-African network

//

Pan-African innovation hub network AfriLabs has welcomed 11 new members, expanding its network to over 50 technology and innovation hubs across more than 20 African countries.

Founded in 2011, AfriLabs aims to build a community around the rapidly emerging tech hubs in Africa, and holds an annual gathering bringing together all member hubs and other stakeholders.

It has now expanded its network by 11 new hub members, also extending its membership base to two new African countries – Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The newly accepted members into the AfriLabs network are nHub Nigeria, inCUBE8 Malawi, iBridge Nigeria, Lumumba Labs DRC, Wenak Labs Chad, Sote Hub Kenya, The Innovation Village Kampala, The Tech Village Zimbabwe, BitHub Kenya, dLab Tanzania, and Startpreneurs Nigeria.

“We are constantly looking to work with tech hubs and other stakeholders of the African entrepreneurial ecosystem to foster institutional linkages and collaboration, advocate for better enabling policies as well as provide entrepreneurs and innovators access to the right tools, environment and finance to scale in Africa and beyond. We are pleased to have these new hubs join our network,” said Anna Ekeledo, head of secretariat at AfriLabs.
