Data mining company BrandsEye was named winner and on-demand home cleaning startup SweepSouth runner-up at the recent FNB Business Innovation Awards.

The awards, supported by Endeavour South Africa, recognise businesses that are able to demonstrate real innovation that has the potential to change the way an industry operates.

BrandsEye was named overall winner, and will now have the opportunity to pitch to a credible panel of global business leaders, meet top investors and rub shoulders with their peers from around the world, courtesy of Endeavour.

“It’s a fantastic feeling, to be chosen as a winner among 12 amazing businesses, BrandsEye has been around for over 10 years, in that time we have done some really great work that has allowed us to continuously improve the technology that we use,” said co-founder Craig Raw.

Businesses eligible for entry into the awards needed to be founder-led, exhibit high growth potential and have the capacity to add substantial economic value by means of job creation.

“We were delighted to have been nominated and even more so to have won this award,” said SweepSouth co-founder Aisha Pandor. “This has been an exciting and rewarding entrepreneurial journey, not only for us as business owners, but also because we are in the position to help find employment and change the lives of the cleaners that we place.”
