#Africa Domestly launches subscriptions and business service

//

South African on-demand cleaning startup Domestly has added a subscription-based model to its service, as well as launching services for small and medium businesses.

Domestly launched in Cape Town in October 2015, and since then has scaled rapidly across South Africa – expanding to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand and Centurion – with its find-a-cleaner web and mobile app.

The original model allows consumers to choose a professional home cleaner for a one-off job, with payment made electronically.

However, the startup has now added a subscription model, allowing users to book their favourite cleaner on a regular basis in advance; with payment taken via direct debit.

Consumers can opt for a three, six, or 12 month subscription, and discounts are applied for long-term bookings.

“Consumers can now make sure their home is taken care of, without the hassle of booking and paying every week,” said Domestly.

In addition, the startup has also launched a new branch – Domestly Business – catering to small and medium companies which do not require an employed full-time cleaner.

Businesses can book fully vetted and checked cleaners demonstrating formal office cleaning experience through the new service; while “substitute” cleaners can also be booked on short notice, in the case of an existing cleaner not being available.

Domestly Business is offered as a recurring service fixed according to each company’s chosen schedule; but there are no contracts and services can be cancelled at any time.

“Domestly isn’t just the most affordable option – it’s also the most valuable for the ever-evolving South African business and their requirements,” the startup said.
