AppsAfrica has announced the last call for nominations to this year’s AppsAfrica Innovation Awards, which recognise the best mobile and tech innovations from across Africa.

The Awards acknowledge the positive impact of innovative startups using mobile or tech to meet local needs in any African market, across 12 categories.

Categories include the Disruptive Innovation Award, the Best African App Award, the Enterprise Solution Award, the Fintech Award, and the mCommerce Award.  A full list of Award categories can be accessed here.

Applications will be assessed by a team of expert judges, with the winners to be announced and awarded at the gala event to be held in CapeTown on November 6, prior to the AfricaCom event.

The awards are held in association with Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF) and Mobile Monday (MOMO) South Africa, and will provide winners with international recognition and publicity across multiple channels.

Nominations can be made here until September 11.
