#Africa Nigeria’s CcHub takes 10 startups into Next Economy Accelerator

//

Nigerian innovation space Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) has accepted 10 startups into its Next Economy Accelerator, a three-month programme aimed at helping early-stage businesses grow into profitable and sustainable enterprises to stimulate the creation of jobs in Nigeria.

The Next Economy programme is being run in partnership with global startup support organisation Enviu, and aims to empower startups with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to achieve growth and scale.

A call for applications was made in Lagos via various social media channels for early-stage businesses looking for acceleration support to aid their growth, with a total of 55 applications received.

Selected startups include ed-tech platform Nicademia, chat commerce platform Balogunmarket.ng, e-commerce startup Greenbles, personal grocery shopper WhyHemCee Enterprises, and tutoring platform ProTeach.

The rest of the cohort comprises roadside assistance startup Autosave, craft company Oremicrafts, e-commerce marketplace Cribpark, on-demand delivery startup DeliveryBros, and on-demand beauty and wellness platform Charme.

The programme began with a two-day boot camp at the CcHub, which ventures introduced to the programme’s objectives and the learning curriculum for the accelerator. A need assessment and thorough analysis of each startup took place.

They will now attend weekly working sessions facilitated by seasoned experts, with the programme ending with a demo day where they can showcase their business to the public, media and prospective investors.
