#Africa SA e-commerce startup Luxity launches Joburg store

//

South African e-commerce startup Luxity has opened the doors of its first flagship store in Johannesburg in a prime location within Melrose Arch.

Disrupt Africa reported in January on Luxity, which launched last year and allows users to sell their second-hand luxury goods online.

The startup looks to ensure it offers only 100 per cent authentic luxury items that are still in excellent condition, and even has an authentication team that checks that goods offered for sale on its platform are legitimate.

Luxity is now expanding into offline shopping with the opening of its Johannesburg store, which offers customers a range of handbags, shoes, sunglasses, scarves and other accessories from brands such as CHANEL, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Gucci and Prada.

“Luxity’s online boutique has already enjoyed enormous success. With this new flagship store we will be able to offer even more affordable luxury to our large following of fashionistas,” said Luke Calitz, ddirector of Luxity.
