#Asia 4 startups returning to exhibit at TIA Singapore 2017

//

Bootstrap Alley has always been a favourite conference segment amongst promising young startups in the region. While the bulk of exhibiting startups joining us are first-timers, we do also have returning startups who have exhibited before at our previous conferences in Bangalore, Tokyo and Jakarta.

If you missed them at our prior conferences, get acquainted with these four startups who’ll be returning to familiar soil at our upcoming Tech in Asia Singapore 2017 conference this 17 & 18 May.

1. XTREME DESIGN Inc.

What’s your one-line elevator pitch?
At XTREME DESIGN, we focus on providing simple and high-performance computing IaaS using public cloud services as a supercomputing platformer.

What problem(s) are you solving?
Data analysts can rent our supercomputers and easily perform high-performance data analysis on their own.

How was your previous exhibiting experience? Did you achieve your objectives?
Yes, we did! Through our previous exhibition, we got our current VCs on board.

What is one advice you’d share with first-time startup exhibitors?
Bring at least 4 team members to attend the conference to cover all bases.

2. AppPay

What’s your one-line elevator pitch?
AppPay is a comprehensive merchant-end wallet app facility provider with multi-payment options, loyalty rewards & commerce capabilities.

What problem(s) are you solving?
AppPay enables Mobile O2O Commerce and Payment for F&B and Retail Brands. We provide them with a facility to continuously engage their loyal members via their wallet app.

How was your previous exhibiting experience? Did you achieve your objectives?
We had a great time at Tech in Asia Jakarta 2016. There were a few local partners whom we’re interested in connecting with – so in terms of achieving our objectives, I’d say we were almost there!

How do you make the most of your hours at the conference?
For most parts of the conference, we were at our booth. But this time, we will study the conference agenda beforehand and take out some time to attend the sessions that we’re interested in.

What is one advice you’d share with first-time startup exhibitors?
Participate in as many programmes (Speed Dating, Night Crawl, etc.) as possible!

3. CrescoData

What’s your one-line elevator pitch?
CrescoData simplifies the process of managing and scaling product data. Our cloud-based platform seamlessly imports and syncs data across multiple retail platforms and digital advertising channels.

What problem(s) are you solving?
All digital advertising channels have different product data format requirements. If you have a large amount of products to list on multiple channels, it’s impossible to list, optimise and update the data manually. We help by automating the distribution process of product data to the different digital advertising channels.

How was your previous exhibiting experience? Did you achieve your objectives?
We secured some great leads which have turned into valuable business opportunities. The exposure to new contacts across the region was something we could not have achieved without exhibiting.

How do you make the most of your hours at the conference?
We want to speak to as many attendees and exhibitors as possible. Apart from gaining leads, connections and partnerships, this will help us understand our audience and figure out what challenges businesses in the region are facing.

What is one advice you’d share with first-time startup exhibitors?
Keep your messaging simple so that people have one key takeaway after meeting you.

4. EasyParcel Sdn Bhd

What’s your one-line elevator pitch?
We are the default booking platform for courier services. Instead of booking hotels, EasyParcel allows you to book courier services at the best rate.

What problem(s) are you solving?
We help e-commerce merchants automate and simplify the entire fulfillment process – from sign up, booking, billing, fulfillment and to tracking. At the same time, we enable our courier partners to access and service the underserved and unserved market.

How was your previous exhibiting experience? Did you achieve your objectives?
At Tech in Asia Jakarta, we met a few potential courier service providers who became our partners and are helping us to expand into Indonesia.

How do you make the most of your hours at the conference?
By networking and meeting new people.

What is one advice you’d share with first-time startup exhibitors?
Don’t spend too much time stationed at your booth. Make the most of your time there by mingling with the crowd, speakers and investors.
