#Asia 4 startups that stood out at TIA Singapore 2017’s Bootstrap Alley (Day 1)

//

When conference doors opened at 9am, the excitement was palpable. Attendees started streaming in and many of these early birds flocked to Bootstrap Alley to meet this year’s batch of rising tech startups.

From an award-winning video production company to a virtual webcam app, there were definitely plenty to see. But these four startups caught our eye and were amongst the crowd favourites at Tech in Asia Singapore 2017 (Day 1).

Breadnbeyond

Breadnbeyond was certainly one of the first few to catch my attention with their free giveaway of an explainer video – afterall, who doesn’t love freebies, right? While some may think they’re in the food tech business by their name, Breadnbeyond is actually an award-winning explainer video production company.

Best known for their 2D animated explainer videos, Breadnbeyond offers eight distinct animated styles for their clients. And if you’re tight on time, you can be assured you’ll get your video in 25 business days (or less)!

Agentbong

While walking down the Bootstrap Alley aisles, it’s hard not to miss Agentbong’s roaming mascot. Coupled with their intriguing product name, they did draw a fair bit of attention to their booth.

And if you were wondering, ‘bong’ means help in Cantonese. If you’re busy and want to look for someone to help with your cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, or even pet-sitting, Agentbong can do that by matching you with their database of part-time helpers.

Look Live Media

Travelling to some place new soon? Why read about it when you can see it live and in real-time? With the Look app, you can ask users from around the world to record live webcam views of some of your favourite places! Imagine watching a live concert feed from Coachella or maybe catching a front row seat view of the NBA Playoffs in the US – pretty cool huh?

Look Live Media is also exhibiting for the second time at our flagship conference. Thanks for your support again, Donald!

Zeemart

With their large ‘phone’ screen, cupcakes and flashy booth setup, Zeemart certainly left a striking impression on the attendees. Their mission to shake up the way buyers and suppliers trade today did too.

Through their online purchasing platform, users can discover new product and services, place orders, and get business intelligence all in one place. And hey, if you’re on a tight budget, Zeemart helps you compare prices from different suppliers and find the best product that meets your needs!

As we draw a close to Day 1 of the conference, stay tuned as we return with a brand new set of exhibiting startups tomorrow! You could also catch all the live happenings at #tiasg2017 via our Twitter updates and Facebook live streaming.

Stay tuned for happenings on Day 2!
Psst: a little bird told us that Mr Chan Chun Sing, Secretary of National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), will be attending as Guest-of-Honour! He will be delivering a welcome speech at 9.45am tomorrow at the Main Stage, so join us if you can 🙂
