The Singapore-based company is the latest to announce a partnership with the government-owned postal and logistics service
Singapore-based e-commerce fulfillment company Anchanto today announced a new partnership with Pos Logistik Indonesia, a subsidiary of government-owned postal and logistic service Pos Indonesia, effective March 2016.
Anchanto and Pos Logistik Indonesia will work together to couple massive delivery, warehouses, sorting centres and trucking networks with Anchanto’s technology.
The two companies will set up a dedicated team to offer services including real-time order visibility, efficient picking and packing, channel sales management, persistent inventory listing across local and regional marketplaces, and customer support.
“We have a robust plan to capture e-commerce logistics and cross-border e-commerce market share for the Indonesian market by helping SMEs, local businesses, and brands,” said Pos Logistik Indonesia Director Hariyanto.
Anchanto said the main issue faced by Indonesian e-commerce sector is that logistics providers continue to use processes especially built for B2B logistics, and not purpose-built technology. This, the company said, results in a lack of end-to-end visibility of orders, errors and delays in deliveries, as well as higher costs.
The partnership will bring Anchanto’s e-commerce-focussed technology to Indonesia, significantly reduce costs and expand services across the country and its islands.

Anchanto is the latest to announce a partnership with the government-owned postal and logistics service, following MatahariMall and Zalora, who have already signed with Pos Indonesia.
Vaibhav Dabhade, Co-founder and CEO of Anchanto, explained to e27 that the partnership with Pos Logistik Indonesia offers full-service e-commerce solutions and services to the local market. It is also a crucial part of the company’s plan to compete in Indonesian market.
“Anchanto’s expansion strategy is to partner with strong and nationwide 3PL (third-party logistics) companies [who are] having massive warehouses and delivery infrastructure, to jointly offer e-commerce fulfillment at large scale from Day One … at great service quality and cost,” he said.
