#Asia Aspiring Minds acquires India’s student internship platform Letsintern

//

Early this year, the Gurgaon-based employability assessment company had acquired mobile app development startup Mizcoin

Aspiring Minds, a Gurgaon-based employability assessment company with operations in multiple countries, has announced the acquisition of Letsintern.com, an online and mobile platform that connects students with various organisations for internship opportunities.

The acquisition is part of Aspiring Minds’ multi-million dollar investment plan in the internship space.

Letsintern has synergy with its flagship product AMCAT, which allows adaptive and standardised measurement of generic employability skills (language, cognitive, behaviour) and a range of functional skills using simulated assessment. The product is used by job seekers, colleges, universities and  corporations.

Aspiring Minds plans to continue to run the Letsintern platform and invest in its growth in order to reach and engage with every college and university student in India and across the world. The Letsintern team will stay.

“Letsintern gives us a very reliable presence in the internship space and in continuing our efforts to add more value to students, colleges and corporations. We expect to combine the reach of both AMCAT and Letsintern.com platforms and achieve significant synergies,” said Himanshu Aggarwal, CEO of Aspiring Minds.

Rishabh Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Letsintern, said, “We were able to instantly synergise with Aspiring Minds’ vision of revolutionising the education and employment ecosystem in the world. We are confident that Letsintern’s experience in the internship space and established network of millions of students and more than 22,000 organisations will add great value in the best in class business that Aspiring Minds has made.”

This is Aspiring Minds’ second acquisition after the acquisition of mobile app development startup Mizcoin early this year.

Founded in 2008 by Himanshu and Varun Aggarwal, Aspiring Minds enables job seekers to evaluate their job skills, earn industry-recognised credentials and find appropriate career opportunities. It also helps companies improve their quality and efficiency of hiring.

Started in 2010, Letsintern is a platform that connects students with various organisations for all forms of opportunities (internships, virtual internships, brand evangelists, volunteer opportunities, tasks and full-time jobs). The startup claims to have facilitated more than 10,000 internships across major cities in India.
