But fortunately, startups are here to solve your search woes by providing you with multiple platforms. Here is Part 1 of e27’s personal roundup of great platform-focussed startups you can spend your time (and possibly money) with:

FindYourSpace | HQ: Thailand

FindYourSpace is an enterprise cloud platform with a focus on the real estate industry in Asia. It aims to help real estate agents manage complete property portfolios and track customer interactions.

Aside from software services, FindYourSpace also offers professional services as well. It constantly distributing all listings through one platform, allowing increased lead generation for the agents.

Neliti | HQ: Indonesia

Neliti is a user-generated open access research database that aims to become a social research community. It makes important research easier to access by allowing members to submit their own articles, message other authors to facilitate dissemination and collaborate across the archipelago.

The site contains a scholarship and careers database, services to help local academics get published in reputable journals as well as finding scholarships and financial aid.

Pelago | HQ: Hong Kong

With event organizers challenged to fill their events and attendees frustrated they cannot find events that suit their interests, Pelago was created to allow anyone to create their own event.

It also allows them to publish it on social media and start selling tickets — all via mobile. Pelago also created a “white label” solution called Pelago Canvas, for larger event organizers looking for a fully branded customer experience.

Easyshopping BD | HQ: Bangladesh

Easy Shopping BD is one of the leading e-commerce businesses in Bangladesh. It initially was an e-commerce platform for men’s fashion, but now produces fashion accessories for men.

Its initiative is to make an efficient and consistent business-to-client relationship, and solve the problems of the Bangladeshi e-commerce industry such as a lack of established payment options and quality customer support.

eMithilaHaat | HQ: India

eMithilaHaat sells Mithila arts and crafts, with a goal of working towards the preservation and promotion of the dying rich art and culture of India by combining traditional art with modern trends.

It calls itself a ‘Not-Just-For-Profit’ organization that aims to help the artisans of Mithilanchal to get a marketplace to feature and sell their artwork and fairly earn from it.

Wooden Street | HQ: India

Wooden Street is known to be India’s first custom furniture online store. It employs a team of of talented furniture designers, skilled craftsmen & marketing professionals to serve each customer’s furniture needs.

The platform allows customization by allowing users to share ideas, receive 3D designs from Wooden Street’s furniture designers, all while also getting a free delivery and installation for customised furniture.

Tees.co.id | HQ: Indonesia

Tees.co.id is a platform selling t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, art prints, and similar retail accessories. It allows users to freely create their designs and sell them.

The platform prides itself on its crowdsourced design culture, and helps designers in producing and shipping their designs, while also handling customer service.

Emytrade | HQ: Indonesia

Emytrade works with a B2B2C business model – it is a retail and wholesale e-commerce platform which enables customers to find products and reliable suppliers from Indonesia.

It also uses its own Emytrade bank account, which helps buyers and sellers make secure financial transactions. It offers both free and premium memberships for its sellers, allowing members to sell, chat with their clients, and replace banner stores and logos.

EMFURN | HQ: Canada

If you’re going to buy furniture, you might as well buy art. EMFURN offers the best selection and top quality in contemporary furniture, modern furniture reproductions, and mid-century furniture.

The startup is a furniture platform where high quality and reasonable yet affordable prices are intertwined. The platform also offers outdoor patio and garden furniture, and online interior design services.

8WOOD | HQ: Indonesia

8WOOD is an online fashion shop that focuses on fulfilling fashion and beauty needs for young spirited women that want to have celebrity looks but with affordable prices.

The company works with hundreds of potential local and international brands, while also having its own fashion line. Its mission is to care, help and provide the best for their customers.

Petsodia | HQ: Malaysia

A June 2015 graduate of pre-accelerator program, Startup Next, Petsodia is an online platform that connects pet owners with sitters. Its vision is to help pet owners find sitters who can care for their pets while they are away, as well as foster a social pet loving environment among pet owners.

Petsodia also allows these pet lovers to earn casual income when they are pet sitting.

iDIVhER.com | HQ: Malaysia

iDIVhER.com is a watersports and travel resources media platform based in Malaysia. Since 2010, it has been featuring swimming, scuba diving, freediving, and travel related information to its community.

With over 20,000 highly engaged community members via social media platforms, iDivher.com easily managed to get around 18,000 visitors per month. It also has existing partnerships with watersports related travel operators.

Roomly | HQ: Malaysia

Roomly is a matchmaking platform that helps tenants to rent by connecting them to thousands of available rental units in Malaysia & Singapore.

Tenants will be allowed to refine their choices on location, budget, and other filters, while also receiving notifications when a matched unit is found. Additionally, Roomly is currently developing a Roommately *Beta, which is a “tinder for roommates” model, allowing tenants to socialize first before renting a unit.

Tourplus | HQ: Malaysia

With beginnings as a crowdsourcing itinerary platform, Tourplus has evolved to become a platform in providing private guide services to travellers.

With over 250 private guides registered and 400 unique visitors daily, Tourplus aims to help traditional services such as private guides to provide better service to its existing customers. The startup says it is currently open for any possible partnership opportunities.

CrowdNet | HQ: Philippines

CrowdNet is a mobile platform that enables individuals and small businesses to resell their Internet airtime.

The app identifies the exact device it will share Internet airtime with, and will allocate minutes depending on how much the user initially paid for it. It won several awards in the past, bagging 2nd place in Angelhack Manila 2014, and was one of the Top 30 Innovative Apps at the Google Developers HackFair in 2015.
