Echelon Thailand 2015 is the place to be this year, as we bring together the best of the best from the Mekong’s startup arena. The two-day event includes everything — from world-class speakers to rigorous breakout sessions, startup exhibitions, never before speakers and a whole lot more.

You can check out the agenda for Echelon Thailand and see what catches your eye, but to make the choosing process easier (so many offerings!), we have compiled a list of six must-do things at the event.

1. Knowledge up! Listen to the ecosystem leaders

At Echelon, we have always ensured noteworthy speakers who provide valuable know-how for investors, entrepreneurs and attendees alike. Past speakers include Yasuhiko Yurimoto (Global Brain), Joe Ziegler (AWS), Oranuch Lerdsuwankij (Thumbsup), Paul Srivorakul (aCommerce).

And this year, we take this commitment a step further by bringing you the sharpest minds to share their experiences and insights to their success. Our speaker list contains such well-known names as Krating Poonpol (500 Tuktuks ), Moo Natavudh (500 Startups), Ariya Banomyong (LINE Thailand), Adrian Vanzyl (Ardent Capital) and many others.

2. Connect and network with 1,000-plus attendees

A tech conference, like any other, is all about making the right connections to scale your business and agenda further. With a pool of over 1,000 attendees to choose from, some of whom are true big fish in the Mekong startup pond, opportunities are endless for you to meet the right investor, talk to the media or find a fellow partner who has the same game-changing idea as you. Plus, our structured marketing initiative is called ‘speed dating for startups’ for a reason.

3. Check out promising startups

Startup LaunchPad, like the name suggests, is basically the stage where the top 10 curated startups from the Mekong region will make their way to Thailand to showcase their goods. These startups will vie for the title of ‘Most Promising Startup’ by pitching behind closed doors to a panel of esteemed judges. The shortlisted top five will then take the stage in front of a panel of international judges and be crowned winner.

4. In-depth, hands-on workshops

No conference is complete without giving attendees value for their dime. At Echelon, this means workshops that impart tips and tricks of the trade to the startups in attendance. This year too will be no different, with big names of the industry on hand to help attendees level up their technical knowledge. Some workshops to look out for are ‘How to Think Like a CFO’ and ‘How Not to Suck At Startup PR.’

5. See the latest technologies at work

Echelon’s Tech Alley has been synonymous with attracting technology and products of startups that are still at growth stage in a no-frills model. The purpose of this model is engaging the core Echelon delegates for business and partnership opportunities.

This year, startups from our top exhibitors dtac Accelerate, KBank and Inspire Ventures will blow your mind with their offerings (and freebies!)

6. Having fun is on the agenda too!

In case you think we at e27 do not know how to let our hair down, come join us at our after-party at AmBar Bangkok, one of the best rooftop bars in the city for an evening of fun, dancing and drinks. You can also say hello to the  e27 team and rub shoulders with the who’s who of Echelon attendees to strike handshake deals if you’re up for it.

So get cracking on ticking these off, one by one.
