After a slew of exits from Asian cities in the past year, including Singapore most recently in September 2015, Easy Taxi has confirmed its complete withdrawal from the region, TechCrunch reports.
At its peak, the company, which is from Brazil, operated in 420 cities across 30 countries worldwide, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
With this move, EasyTaxi appears to be consolidating its presence in Latin America to fend off Uber, which is currently available in 67 countries globally.
The Rocket Internet-backed Easy Taxi has raised over US$77 million in funding since 2012.
