Indonesia-based online healthcare network platform HaloDoc has completed a Series A round led by Singapore-based VC Clermont Group, along with Indonesian transportation and payments giant GO-Jek, e-commerce platform Blibli.com, and NSI Ventures. The total amount raised is over US$13 million.

The capital will be used to improve the suite of services in the HaloDoc ecosystem.

HaloDoc, which was officially launched on April 21, 2016, connects users to a network of 18,600 licensed doctors, 1,000 certified partner pharmacies through medical delivery service ApotikAntar, and licensed medical laboratory services. Users can communicate with these medical professionals via chat, video and voice call.

It partnered with GO-Jek in January year to launch on-demand medical delivery service GO-MED, which is integrated with ApotikAntar.

“Our vision for HaloDoc is to help bring improved healthcare to tens of millions of Indonesians. We aim to address through technology, pressing problems such as lack of access and inequality,” said HaloDoc’s founder and CEO, Jonathan Sudharta, in an official press statement.
