The apps will become the company’s key feature, alongside its desktop site and printed magazine
Jakarta-based online marketplace for wedding vendors Bridestory announced on Wednesday, February 17, the release of their two mobile apps: Bridestory, an app that connects brides-to-be with over 15,000 vendors worldwide, and Bridestory Pro, a business app for vendors to manage their Bridestory profile and client inquiries.
The Bridestory app features an Inspiration Board where brides-to-be can create their own Pinterest-like ‘mood board’ and share it through email and social media. The Inspiration Board can also connect brides-to-be with the desired vendors, and the app also includes price list, reviews, and instant messaging feature to vendors.
Doni Hanafi, CTO and Co-Founder of Bridestory, explained that the increasing number of smartphone users contributes to the growing importance for mobile app development in a technology company, citing that 60 per cent of the traffic to Bridestory comes from mobile devices.

As for Bridestory Pro, the app allows wedding vendors to manage their Bridestory business profile, upload new projects and promptly respond to business inquiries from their smartphones.
“Approximately 100,000 business leads are received by registered vendors monthly on our platform, and vendors who are more active in updating their profiles and uploading new projects received significantly higher business queries,” said Hanafi.
The new app is available for both Android and iOS devices, and the company targets 200,000 downloads for 2016.
